Empowered Self Inquiry with Tarot

Tarot is deeply symbolic, yes, but that’s part of its power. Whether you see it through a spiritual lens or a psychological one (or both), tarot acts as a mirror for the subconscious mind. The human brain is wired for imagery; we think in symbols, metaphors, and stories. When we engage with tarot, we’re speaking a language the mind and body instinctively understand.

From a psychological perspective, the images on the cards activate what’s known in neuroscience as projective processing, the same mechanism used in techniques like Jungian dream work or Rorschach inkblot tests. This means your mind naturally projects inner thoughts, emotions, memories, and archetypes onto the imagery. Through this process, insights that might otherwise stay hidden begin to surface.

Tarot gives us a powerful space to pause and reflect — to ask not just what is happening? but what is this showing me? This can activate new neural pathways, offering you a fresh perspective or helping you break free from habitual thought patterns. Combined with guided self-inquiry, this becomes a gentle but transformational way of shifting your inner landscape.

So whether you’re exploring a life question, working through emotional blocks, or simply seeking deeper connection to your intuition, tarot can meet you there, not by telling you what to do, but by helping you remember what you already know.

This isn’t a passive reading where I simply interpret the cards for you, it’s a collaborative and empowering process. You’ll be invited into a sacred space of reflection and self-inquiry, where you actively engage with the cards and their symbolism. I’ll guide you with intuitive prompts and questions to help you access your own insights, intuition, and inner truth. It’s about you remembering that you hold the wisdom, the cards are simply a mirror.

My Reading Style

I am an intuitive tarot reader, with a focus on empowerment and self-inquiry. I do not simply dictate the answers, instead I use questions to allow you to deepen into yourself and the cards. This can also include journeys into the cards, a focus on the body and somatic inquiry , creative expression, and energetic archaeology. This is informed by my background from my Psychology Degree and Yoga Therapy Diploma.

Empowerment

My intention is always to empower you, we may explore inspired actions steps together as part of integration, but you remain in control and responsible for your actions. I will never dictate what you must do, instead we use the cards to explore available choices and potential outcomes based on the current energy at play. You have free will at all times.

Confidentiality

Your privacy is my highest priority. Everything we discuss during your reading is held in the strictest confidence. I will never share your details or the contents of your reading with anyone without explicit permission to do so. The only exception is where your express the intent to harm yourself or others, under these circumstances I am obligated to report this to the relevant professionals.

Autonomy

You have the right to pause, refuse or terminate the reading at any time.

Limits

I do not predict the future. I can read the current energy, the path that you’re on and where it may lead, but this is only one interpretation which can change at any time through actions or shifts in energy etc.

Consent is essential and I only read for the person sitting across from me. I do not provide readings about third parties (including family, friends, partners, acquaintances etc) or try to uncover the thoughts, feelings, or actions of people who are not present. This would also give your power away to other people, instead we focus on what is within your control, reclaiming agency through exploration of the Self.

Tarot is not a substitute for professional medical, psychological, legal, or financial advice. I do not diagnose illnesses, provide legal counsel, provide financial advice, and this is not a therapy session. I will always encourage you to seek out licensed professionals for those needs.

I only read for individuals who are 18+.

I will not answer questions that are against my code of ethics or that I do not believe I’m capable of answering. If it’s possible to rephrase a question into one that I believe I can answer, I will support you to do so.

No prior knowledge of tarot is needed, just a willingness to explore and be open. I’ll guide you gently through the process and explain the cards and their themes in a way that feels accessible and meaningful. All you need is curiosity and a desire to connect more deeply with yourself.

You might come with questions about life transitions, aspects of yourself, creative blocks, purpose, emotional patterns, or simply a desire to reconnect to your inner self. If you're unsure what to focus on, we’ll co-create a direction based on what arises in the moment, trust that whatever comes forward is exactly what’s needed.

This is a sacred space where all of you is welcome. Tarot has a beautiful way of opening the door to parts of ourselves we may have forgotten or hidden. If emotions arise, they are held with care and without judgment. I will gently guide and support you through whatever is present, honouring your experience every step of the way.

Upon booking you’ll be asked to fill in a pre-session reflection to help you set your intention. On the day, try to create a calm and private space for yourself, and bring a journal and pen if you’d like to note down reflections. Come with an open heart and curiosity, the rest will unfold.

Yes. After the session, I’ll send you a written summary of the key themes that came up, along with a photo of your card spread. If we’re online, you can also request that the session is recorded so that you can revisit your insights and continue the inquiry in your own time.
